Eddie’s teaching philosophy is based on a practice of organized collaboration and partnership. In his experience some of the most enlightening and invigorating moments of growth have occurred when people are given their autonomy, agency, and responsibility in cultivating their artistic knowledge and expression under the guidance and organizational structure from their teacher — who elects to listen more than lecture.

As a researcher and dramaturge, Eddie has supported actors in crafting performances that stylistically, emotionally, and historically true. This process is centered on conducting research with the eye of an artist, and creating art from the mindset of a researcher.
